The Structure Of The Blyton Bungalow Is Now Complete

Work in Coorg comes to a standstill in the monsoon. The structure of the Blyton Bungalow is now complete and we await a slight abatement of rains before we can start with the internal works. We expect the building to be up and running in around December. This is a 6 bedroom bungalow which is a mix of both hospitality and member accommodation for those who have opted for guest house access at the collective.

We have also started working with a reputed coffee consultant to develop the right roasts for our coffee and we are happy to say that we have zeroed in on indian filter coffee, cold brew and roasted beans. Each of these will be available in dark and medium roast profiles. In addition we will also be adding green beans to the portfolio. Our team has also finished the analysis of the wildlife study that we had done in three rounds since poomaale was first conceptualised. We had presented the results, the interpretation and the future action points in a webinar.

This is perhaps the first time a landscape planning exercise has been carried out with such detailed attention to monitoring the impact to the place. Our efforts have thus paid off with the species richness index going up significantly in the plantation areas. We are extremely proud of this and would love your feedback on the same.

The western ghats have always held a special place in our hearts. After the success of Poomaale Collective, we have floated the idea of Poomaale 2.0, a new collective in the vicinity of Poomaale Estate of a similar size. We have identified a couple of neighboring estates that fit the bill for us and the response to this new collective has also been tremendous. We are almost through with the seed community.
