The Coffee Act of 1942
The British enacted the Coffee Act of 1942 and established a coffee board by the name of the ‘Indian Coffee Market Expansion Board’ as per Section 4 of the Indian Coffee Market Expansion Board Ordinance, 1940. Its main objective was to help promote research and education endeavours which could result in improving the quality and presence of Indian coffee.

The Land Ceiling Act
The land which is deemed useful for the agriculture is very essential for maintaining the healthy food production numbers for the economy of the country. The government had come up with this act to avoid huge chunks of land being cornered by a few players. In India, there is a national as well as a state level limitation to such holdings.
